[Case Study] Thermal Power Plant Coal Storage Temperature Monitoring System

Centralized monitoring of the temperature in the coal storage area of the coal-fired power plant! Measuring with multiple temperature sensors via MX100.

We would like to introduce a case where our "Wave Researcher" was delivered to a thermal power plant's coal storage temperature monitoring system. Due to the presence of multiple coal storage locations, we grouped the storage locations and modified the system to allow for four levels of temperature alarm settings. The alarms are managed by the MX100, which uses an externally connected patrol light as the alarm lamp, and we added a function to automatically print temperature monitoring reports (daily and monthly). 【Features】 ■ Group registration of coal storage locations ■ Modification to allow for four levels of temperature alarm settings ■ Alarms managed by MX100 ■ Use of an externally connected patrol light as the alarm lamp ■ Added function to automatically print temperature monitoring reports ■ Modification to allow registration of coal brands and other details *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Solution Example (Manufacturing Industry) - Visualization of Temperature Monitoring for Paint Curing Ovens

By managing the temperature of the painting curing oven, we can understand the temperature conditions and abnormalities, contributing to the improvement of product quality.

【System Overview】 In the painting curing furnace within the factory, if temperature management is not properly conducted, variations in product quality may occur, leading to the possibility of defective products. By managing the temperature of the painting curing furnace, it is possible to understand the temperature conditions and abnormalities, contributing to the improvement of product quality. 【Configuration Image】 Monitor the temperature at multiple locations of the painting curing furnace, and if the temperature is outside the set range, an abnormality notification will be issued. By utilizing data from monthly and annual reports, traceability can be enhanced.

[Example] Blast Furnace Hot Air Stove Shell Temperature Monitoring System

Introduction of a case study on the delivery of a blast furnace hot air stove shell temperature monitoring system.

This system is used to continuously monitor numerous temperatures of the various devices that make up the hot air furnace at 5-second intervals. It employs the "Wave Researcher," which has been enhanced with features on two network computers, and Yokogawa Electric Corporation's data acquisition system "MX100." The system calculates the rate of temperature change of the temperature data from different parts of the hot air furnace in real-time and conducts anomaly prediction analysis to detect signs of potential issues. It measures and monitors numerous temperature data in real-time from the "MX100," which cannot be captured by the operational control system, while also calculating the temperature changes of each part in real-time for up to 10 days. This information is useful for analyzing signs of abnormal conditions that could lead to a halt in blast furnace operations. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - To monitor without affecting operations ■ Results - Real-time measurement and monitoring - Sending alarm contacts to the operational control system *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Temperature Data Collection System for Non-Ferrous Metals

Introduction of a case study on the delivery of a temperature data collection system for non-ferrous metals.

A non-ferrous metal processing factory consulted us, saying, "We would like to monitor the temperature during the processing of long materials for quality control." In response, H2 proposed a system that measures the temperature every 0.5 seconds while the material work is passing through. The radiation temperature is measured using proximity sensors. Measurements are taken at five points at the front, five points in the middle, and five points at the back, with the measured values uploaded to the internal network. Our company specializes in building devices and systems tailored to user needs, not only for fluid handling as in this case. We can also establish network-related flows, so please feel free to consult us. [Case Study] ■ Delivery: Major non-ferrous metal factory ■ Purpose: To monitor the temperature of long materials to ensure it remains constant *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
